I wasn't aware that mom had a pet pig until my dog, Murray, endeared himself to "Ngin Ngin" one day at my house. Ma shared on the ride home to her apartment that she had a pet pig back in China. This was news to me because any kind of pet except fish, birds, and turtles were not allowed in our house and were out of the question. Occasionally, mom had to get up let the pig out in the middle of the night to do his business. One evening, mom was so frustrated at the pig that she told it, "Stupid pig, I wish you were dead." Unfortunately, the next morning the pig died and her mother blamed it on mom. They roasted the pig and had a great feast...except mom refused to eat. Contributed by Junior.
